We are seeking a Mechanical Planner II to enhance our Project Controls Team. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in equipment, piping, structural steel, and light civil work. Responsibilities will encompass evaluating job scope requests, estimating labor hours across various disciplines, developing comprehensive work plans, and assembling job plan packages. The role may involve planning for Maintenance, Turnarounds, Small Capital Projects, or a combination thereof.


Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of field planning experience in industrial maintenance, capital projects, or turnarounds.
  • Four (4) years of mechanical craft experience on-site or a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • NCCER certification or equivalent credentials in industrial construction, maintenance, or turnarounds is advantageous.
  • Strong expertise in piping and structural work scope planning is essential.
  • Proficiency in estimating material and labor quantities from industrial construction drawings across multiple crafts.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace is required.
  • Experience with planning software applications is preferred, with knowledge of Turner Applications such as WinTake, QuickPlan, and Win PCS being a plus.
  • Understanding of SAP systems is necessary.

Functional Responsibilities:

Analyze specifications and drawings to define the scope of work and estimate requirements. Prepare detailed estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of work scope, materials, external services, and subcontractors. Incorporate historical data into resource and man-hour estimates, and assess extras, change orders, and discovery work items. Maintain organized files of working documents and backup estimate figures.


Compensation and Benefits

Physical Requirements:

The role may require physical activities such as climbing ladders and scaffolds, maintaining balance, reaching in various directions, manipulating objects, lifting, carrying, standing, walking, and other physical tasks.
