Position Overview: The Event Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional and professional service to guests, ensuring a delightful dining experience. It is essential for bartenders to be attentive to guests' needs, making them feel welcomed, valued, and at ease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up the bar area according to event specifications and timelines.
  • Organize the bar for optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Adhere to the Catering Captain's instructions and staff assignments.
  • Possess knowledge of basic cocktails, beers, wines, and standard liquor pours, or demonstrate a willingness to learn.
  • Assist servers as necessary to ensure smooth service.
  • Engage with guests in a professional manner.
  • Familiarize yourself with the drink menu, including recipes, restrictions, and special requests.
  • Conduct wine service during specific events and be adaptable to plated service as required.
  • Break down and clean the bar and event space, consolidating products for transport.
  • Follow safety and sanitation protocols diligently.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous bartending experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.

  • Punctuality and readiness to work in a complete uniform.
  • Maintaining personal hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Following directions effectively.
  • Staying calm and performing well under pressure.
  • Functioning independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitoring inventory levels of beverages.
  • Communicating with the Bar Captain regarding inventory status.
  • Interacting with diverse groups and fostering a cooperative work atmosphere.
  • Basic computer skills and internet navigation abilities.
  • Ownership of a smartphone for receiving work requests.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to set tables, fold napkins, and polish glassware efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, typically 6+ hours.
  • Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
