Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of banquet operations to ensure successful execution of events.
  • Supervise banquet staff during food and beverage service.
  • Coordinate the activities of the banquet team to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist the Banquet Manager in managing the Banquet Department.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all liquor liability regulations.
  • Conduct staff meetings and pre-event briefings as required.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Follow all details outlined in Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Set tables according to specifications, carry trays, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Complete banquet consumption records as directed by the Director of Banquets.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and mandatory training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of leadership experience in banquet services within a four-star or four-diamond hotel or resort.
  • Must possess TIPS certification for alcohol service and ServSafe food handler certification.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and teamwork.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Capability to walk, push, pull, bend, and lift items of moderate weight.
