Position Overview: The Event Bartender plays a vital role in ensuring guests receive top-notch service, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. This position requires a proactive approach to guest interaction and a strong understanding of beverage service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up the bar area according to event specifications and timelines.
  • Organize the bar for optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Adhere to instructions from the Catering Captain regarding staff assignments.
  • Possess knowledge of cocktails, beers, wines, and standard liquor pours, or demonstrate a willingness to learn.
  • Assist servers as necessary to enhance guest experience.
  • Engage with guests in a professional manner, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Familiarize yourself with the beverage menu, including drink recipes and any special requests.
  • Conduct wine service during events and adapt to plated service as required.
  • Break down and clean the bar and event space, ensuring all items are consolidated and loaded appropriately.
  • Follow established safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous bartending experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.

  • Punctuality and readiness to work in a complete uniform.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and a professional appearance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Follow directions accurately and efficiently.
  • Remain calm and perform well under pressure.
  • Function independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels of beverages and communicate with the Bar Captain as needed.
  • Engage with diverse groups to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Basic computer skills and internet navigation abilities.
  • Ownership of a smartphone for receiving work requests.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive customer service attitude.
  • Ability to set tables, fold napkins, and polish glassware efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
