Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately apply payment information to customer accounts
- Proactively pursue overdue payments through effective communication with clients
- Maintain comprehensive records of payment agreements and account details; organize follow-up communications
- Assess and verify credit applications, including reference checks
- Make recommendations and set credit limits based on payment history and established criteria
- Consult with management regarding credit requests that exceed established limits
- Regularly review transactions and update account statuses in accordance with company policies
- Monitor accounts receivable and cash receipt reports diligently
- Conduct in-depth analysis of bad debts
- Efficiently manage billing and reporting tasks to meet deadlines
- Prepare daily and monthly journal entries
- Oversee customer setups and coordinate with financial institutions regarding new accounts and approvals
- Develop weekly cash forecasts for managed clients
- Assist the accounting team during year-end closing processes
