Job Summary

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a qualified candidate for our Accounts Receivable Specialist position. In this role, you will be responsible for upholding DMV's standards for customer service while working in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer and business partner inquiries regarding invoices by phone and email.
  • Maintain customer account records to reflect all transactions related to invoices and payments received.
  • Generate and reconcile invoices against customer accounts and payment records.
  • Use specific software to analyze received revenue and discrepancies in billing records if applicable.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Accounts Receivable.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in identifying problems, establishing fact patterns, and conducting data analysis to draw valid conclusions and create solutions.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet all deadlines associated with related tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, analyze and accurately interpret accounting and financial records, apply policy, procedural and transactional changes.
  • Working knowledge of processing and posting payments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Considerations
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, eVA, or Cardinal.
