ROLE SUMMARY:

As a QA/QC Engineer or Manager, you will be responsible for executing the project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Plan. Your responsibilities will encompass planning, monitoring, documenting, and reporting adherence to contract specifications in line with the established QA/QC Plan. Regular on-site inspections will be required, alongside office duties to ensure accurate documentation and correspondence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of contract documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Develop and implement the project-specific QA/QC Plan, detailing scopes of work and procedures.
  • Manage engineering procedures, including document control and change order tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols while executing the QA/QC Plan.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure project compliance.
  • Oversee quality control procedures at various project stages in alignment with the project timeline.
  • Continuously enhance documentation and tracking strategies for compliance.
  • Conduct inspections and testing, coordinating with third-party services as necessary.
  • Manage the development of Daily Construction Reports and punch lists.
  • Document and oversee corrective actions for non-compliant materials and workmanship.
  • Research and apply advanced Quality Control methodologies to improve project delivery.
  • Supervise project close-out and quality reporting processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes and materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or construction management preferred.
  • Experience in design-build and job site operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and vendors is beneficial.
  • Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, including Excel and Project, is essential.
  • Compliance with a drug-free workplace policy is mandatory.
