JOB SUMMARY:

As a QA/QC Engineer or Manager, you will be responsible for executing the project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Plan. Your role will involve planning, monitoring, documenting, and reporting on compliance with the contract specifications in alignment with the project-specific QA/QC Plan. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of contract documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Create and implement the project-specific QA/QC Plan, detailing scopes of work and procedures.
  • Manage document control, submissions, and track changes in compliance with budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards and compliance requirements.
  • Foster relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project compliance.
  • Coordinate Quality Control procedures in line with the project schedule.
  • Continuously improve documentation and tracking strategies for compliance.
  • Conduct inspections and arrange for third-party testing, analyzing and reporting results.
  • Oversee the development of Daily Construction Reports and punch lists.
  • Manage the removal and replacement of non-compliant materials, ensuring compliance post-correction.
  • Implement additional Quality Control and Lean procedures to enhance project delivery.
  • Supervise project close-out and quality reporting.
  • Travel may be necessary.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and installation procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A degree in mechanical engineering or construction management is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and vendors.
  • Capability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Must pass a drug test upon hire and throughout employment.
