Job OverviewPosition Summary

The Slot Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the efficient functioning of the slot gaming area. This position entails ensuring compliance with internal controls and gaming regulations while delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Slot Supervisor is responsible for guiding Slot Team Members and addressing any disputes that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibit outstanding guest service abilities and exercise sound judgment in challenging situations.
  • Directly supervise slot team members within the designated area.
  • Ensure that all team members maintain high standards of guest service at all times.
  • Verify and initiate hand-paid jackpots as necessary.
  • Assist in evaluating the performance of slot team members.
  • Recommend and implement management strategies as required.
  • Support the Slot Shift Manager in scheduling team members for assigned shifts.
  • Maintain an effective daily schedule for the assigned area and recommend adjustments to ensure proper coverage.
  • Safeguard funds and equipment within the assigned area and shift.
  • Distribute equipment to slot team members as needed.
  • Report any issues requiring attention to the Slot Shift Manager.
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, motivate team members, and exhibit effective supervisory capabilities.
  • Adhere to all internal controls and operational policies.
  • Foster excellent guest relations consistently.
  • Engage positively with guests and team members, exercising tact and patience.
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms to uphold a professional image.
  • Resolve practical problems and navigate various situations with limited standardization.
  • Interpret diverse instructions provided in various formats.
  • Prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Present information clearly and respond to inquiries from managers, clients, guests, and the public.
  • Maintain regular attendance and a reliable work schedule in line with business needs.
  • Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Be prepared to stand and walk for the majority of the shift, working in potentially noisy and warm conditions, and perform physical tasks as required.

  • Engage in special projects and other tasks as directed.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of six months to one year of experience in slot operations is necessary.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A combination of education, experience, and training that equips the candidate with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods and navigate the casino floor during shifts.
  • Capability to move swiftly within a busy environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must obtain and maintain a valid gaming commission license.
  • Required to pass drug and alcohol testing.
