Overview

The Logistics and Inventory Supervisor is responsible for managing the Shipping and Receiving team, ensuring that all daily operations are executed efficiently. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, and products across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily Shipping and Receiving tasks to ensure accuracy and timeliness in all operations.
  • This position requires active participation in physical handling and processing of products while leading the team.
  • Transport materials from receiving areas to storage or designated locations, organizing and placing items on appropriate racks or shelves.
  • Direct all shipping, receiving, and packing functions carried out by the warehouse team, maintaining visibility and assigning tasks to ensure a productive workday.
  • Manage the sorting and storage of perishable items in temperature-controlled environments.
  • Process requisitions for materials as needed.
  • Keep precise records of received and dispatched items, updating the computer systems accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory logs for products stored within the Shipping and Receiving area.
  • Ensure proper documentation and logs are maintained.
  • Assist during peak operational periods and provide coverage during staff absences.
  • Report any issues to Warehouse Management and facilitate communication regarding operational challenges.
  • Support Warehouse Management in setting annual objectives and training initiatives for team members.
  • Promote safety awareness among team members by identifying hazards and implementing training and standard operating procedures to minimize risks.
  • Ensure a professional appearance and cleanliness of the Shipping and Receiving area.
  • Deliver exceptional service to all guests, employees, departments, and vendors.
  • Welcome guests with a positive and friendly demeanor.
  • Address team member concerns while adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Comply with and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Prioritize the safety and well-being of all guests and team members in all actions.
  • Plan and assign work to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Ensure all Shipping and Receiving personnel are effectively fulfilling their responsibilities.
  • Document any product damage prior to acceptance.
  • Operate all equipment in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Exhibit professionalism and patience in interactions with all staff members.
  • Maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule in alignment with business needs.
  • Perform administrative duties as required.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of all warehouse operations.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Duties

  • Assist in the hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, and motivation of employees.
  • Adhere to all company safety and security policies; report any incidents or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Ensure that uniforms and personal appearance are professional and clean; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address service needs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
  • Foster positive working relationships to support team objectives.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Shipping and Receiving is necessary.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming commission license.
  • Must pass drug and alcohol testing.
  • Forklift certification is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
