Job Overview

The Culinary Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the daily functions of the Food Outlet, ensuring that Team Members and the Outlet Manager operate smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and distribute weekly schedules for Food Outlets and Team Members.
  • Manage inventory levels and execute orders for the Food Outlet as necessary.
  • Conduct comprehensive Month End Inventory assessments for the Food Outlet.
  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly logs and spreadsheets.
  • Ensure accountability among food outlet team members for their assigned shift duties.
  • Adhere to departmental and Casino policies and procedures.
  • Guarantee compliance with established policies, Gaming Commission regulations, and internal controls.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new Food Outlet Team Members.
  • Contribute to menu planning and analyze cost of sales.
  • Support Food Outlet Team Members in executing their responsibilities.
  • Act as a communication bridge between Food Outlet Team Members and the Outlet Manager.
  • Engage in special events and banquets as required.
  • Order necessary supplies for the outlets as needed.
  • Provide assistance to the Outlet Manager as required.
  • Oversee timekeeping and payroll processes while ensuring adherence to Kronos procedures.
  • Must maintain a reliable and consistent work schedule aligned with business needs, ensuring regular attendance.
  • Complete special projects and additional tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Duties

  • Assist in the hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, and motivation of employees.
  • Comply with all company safety and security policies; report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management; complete necessary safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure that uniforms and personal appearance are professional and clean; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; proactively address guests' service needs.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with others.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues to achieve common objectives.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in food and beverage service is required.
  • Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Required: Two (2) years of cash handling experience.
  • Guest service experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and manual registers is preferred.
  • Any combination of education, experience, and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
  • Must pass all drug and/or alcohol testing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a County of Riverside Food Handlers Card within seven (7) days of hire.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TIPS certification (Training for Intervention Procedures).
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
