Employment Status: Part-time, Non-exempt

Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Position Overview:

The Scorekeeper is tasked with accurately recording the statistics for both adult and youth hockey matches.

Work Schedule:

• Availability for approximately two-thirds of scheduled events each month, including weekends and holidays. Most shifts occur during evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain precise statistics as required by leagues and tournaments, along with necessary data entry.
• Utilize league-provided scoring systems and score sheets effectively.
• Possess a thorough understanding of League Rules and Guidelines, ensuring compliance by officials and players.
• Engage with on-ice officials regarding game situations and player eligibility issues.
• Report all significant incidents occurring on and off the ice to the adult hockey manager promptly.
• Oversee player roster management and check-in procedures.
• Monitor player suspension lists and communicate relevant suspensions to officials.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently and ensure adherence to all policies.
• Be familiar with emergency protocols for equipment and evacuation procedures.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the scorekeeper and player boxes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must wear the assigned uniform during all shifts.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and late nights.
• Basic understanding of ice hockey rules and gameplay.
• Proficient in using the required computer systems for game administration.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Capability to work in a cold environment.
