Position Overview:


The Physician Liaison at Florida Orthopaedic Institute is responsible for enhancing the visibility and reputation of the organization among potential referring physicians, prospective patients, and the broader community.

This role involves crafting and executing strategies to fortify relationships with referring physicians, developing community education programs regarding new services and technologies, and serving as the primary contact for physician-to-physician communications.


Core Responsibilities:
Establishes and nurtures strategic relationships with community-based referring physician practices aimed at increasing patient volume and retention.

Assists in the formulation and execution of strategic marketing initiatives and forecasts to meet objectives set forth by the Executive Team and Board of Directors.

Collaborates with external consultants to synchronize marketing and branding efforts to ensure that marketing goals are achieved within budgetary constraints.

Conducts monthly assessments of patient volume trends, marketing outcomes, and identifies opportunities to broaden the referral network (utilizing Athena and Salesforce), presenting findings to the marketing team and delivering quarterly updates to the COO.

Organizes networking lunches, meet & greets, continuing medical education sessions, and other events for physicians.
Manages relationships with hospital liaisons.
Coordinates with medical professionals and operational teams to ensure effective communication and support for marketing and outreach initiatives.
Visits referring physician offices to distribute company information and promotional materials, fostering strong referral relationships.

Evaluates referral patterns and the competitive landscape to devise and implement an effective outreach strategy, leveraging an existing database of targeted physicians.

Coordinates and delivers professional presentations for in-services, videos, seminars, open houses, tours, and group meetings.

Works collaboratively with management, physicians, and staff to address issues, understand services, meet client expectations, and enhance referral rates.

Responsible for managing communications with referring offices, including conflict resolution, relationship enhancement, and compliance.
Represents Florida Orthopaedic Institute at health fairs, medical conferences, local businesses, and medical society gatherings.
Oversees marketing initiatives for new physicians and all introductions (both internally and externally).
Maintains and updates all physician profiles for social media and hospital affiliations.
Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related discipline, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
A valid Florida Driver's License is required, along with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Must be capable of working independently in the field while collaborating effectively with staff, possessing strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated sales and customer service abilities, as well as strong analytical and organizational skills.

Confidence in public speaking is essential for conducting interviews on camera.
The ability to collaborate with other organizations to achieve common goals is crucial.

Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word is necessary, along with the ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment, and stay informed about relevant changes in the healthcare sector.
