Position Overview:


The Physician Liaison at Florida Orthopaedic Institute is responsible for enhancing the visibility and outreach of the organization to potential referring physicians, prospective patients, and the broader community.

This role involves formulating and executing strategies to fortify relationships with referring physicians, developing initiatives to inform the community about new services and technologies, and serving as the primary contact for physician-to-physician communications.


Core Responsibilities:
Establishes and nurtures strategic relationships with community-based referring physician practices aimed at driving growth and retention.

Assists in the implementation and development of strategic marketing plans and forecasts to meet objectives set by the Executive Team and Board of Directors.

Collaborates with third-party consultants to synchronize marketing and branding efforts to ensure the fulfillment of marketing goals within budgetary constraints.

Conducts monthly analyses of patient volume trends, marketing outcomes, and opportunities to broaden the referral base (utilizing Athena and Salesforce), presenting findings to the marketing team and during quarterly meetings with the COO.

Organizes lunches, meet-and-greet events, continuing medical education sessions, and other gatherings for physicians.
Manages relationships with hospital liaisons.
Coordinates with medical professionals, clinical staff, and operational teams to ensure effective communication and support for marketing and outreach initiatives.
Visits referring physician offices to distribute company information and promotional materials, fostering strong referral relationships.

Evaluates referral patterns and the competitive landscape to devise and implement an effective canvassing strategy, leveraging an existing database of targeted physicians.

Delivers professional presentations for in-services, videos, seminars, open houses, tours, and group meetings.

Works collaboratively with management, physicians, and staff to address issues, comprehend modalities and services, meet customer expectations, and enhance referrals.

Responsible for managing communications to and from referring offices, including conflict resolution, relationship cultivation, and compliance.
Represents Florida Orthopaedic Institute at health fairs, medical conferences, local businesses, and medical society gatherings.
Oversees new physician marketing and all introductions (both internally and externally).
Maintains all physician profiles for social media and hospital affiliations.
Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related field, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
A valid Florida Driver's License is required, along with the flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.

Ability to work independently in the field, collaborate with staff, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated sales and customer service skills, strong analytical abilities, and organizational skills are essential.

Confidence in public speaking is necessary for conducting interviews on camera.
The capacity to partner with other organizations for effective collaboration is crucial.

Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word, along with the ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment, and stay informed about relevant changes in the healthcare landscape.
