Position Summary:
The Physician Liaison at Orthopaedic Solutions Management plays a crucial role in promoting and marketing the organization to potential referring physicians, prospective patients, and the broader community. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies aimed at enhancing relationships with referring physicians, as well as educating the community about new programs and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes and nurtures strategic partnerships with community-based referring physician practices to drive growth and retention.
- Supports and contributes to the development of strategic marketing initiatives and forecasts to meet the objectives set by the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
- Collaborates with third-party consultants to align marketing and branding efforts, ensuring that marketing goals are achieved within budgetary constraints.
- Conducts monthly analyses of patient volume trends and marketing outcomes, identifying opportunities to expand the referral base, and presents findings to the marketing team and COO on a quarterly basis.
- Organizes events such as lunches, meet & greets, and continuing medical education sessions for physicians.
- Manages relationships with hospital liaisons to foster partnerships.
- Coordinates with clinical and operational teams to ensure effective communication and support for marketing and outreach initiatives.
- Visits referring physician offices to distribute company information and promotional materials, fostering strong referral relationships.
- Analyzes referral patterns and the competitive landscape to devise and implement an effective canvassing strategy using an established database of targeted physicians.
- Delivers professional presentations for in-services, videos, seminars, open houses, tours, and group meetings.
- Works collaboratively with management, physicians, and staff to address issues, understand services, meet customer expectations, and enhance referral rates. Responsible for managing communications with referring offices, including conflict resolution and relationship building.
- Represents the organization at health fairs, medical symposiums, and medical society meetings.
- Oversees marketing efforts for new physicians and manages introductions both internally and externally.
- Maintains all physician profiles for social media and hospital affiliations.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related field, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- A valid driver's license is required, along with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively with staff, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and organizational skills.
- Confidence in public speaking and the ability to conduct interviews on camera.
- Proven ability to partner with other organizations for effective collaboration.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word, with the ability to prioritize tasks and exercise sound judgment while staying informed about relevant changes in the healthcare sector.
