Position Overview:

The IT Strategic Partner will collaborate closely with Human Resource executives to enhance the effectiveness of IT capabilities on organizational performance and ensure that IT services align with business goals and requirements. Reporting to the Head of Enabling Functions Business Partner lead, this individual will be pivotal in ensuring that the Human Resource department utilizes technological solutions to fulfill business objectives.

This role will engage with various Zoetis Tech & Digital (IT) divisions, including Digital, Data & Analytics, IT Compliance, Infrastructure, Operations, and Project Management Office, alongside business associates and third-party providers to strategize, define, and execute all design and development initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary IT consultant to Human Resource leadership
  • Oversee a team of 1 - 3 colleagues dedicated to supporting Human Resource technology solutions
  • Promote business process enhancements and automation through new and existing IT capabilities
  • Identify potential new business functionalities to be enabled and executed through technology
  • Act as a communication bridge between IT and the business
  • Contribute to the formulation of IT business strategies and plans that align with the long-term vision of Human Resources
  • Engage in the enterprise portfolio and budget development process by advocating for business priorities and objectives
  • Manage, oversee, and own approved budget expenditures, update forecasts, and ensure accurate expense tracking throughout project timelines
  • Participate in business leadership meetings to gain insights into potential challenges or opportunities
  • Develop and manage Human Resource project portfolios while ensuring consistent communication with the IT Head of Enabling Functions and Human Resource leadership team to align on approaches
  • Establish business/functional cross-platform solution requirements
  • Ensure the delivery of IT solutions and services, and take ownership of resolving delivery challenges
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with senior leaders in both IT and business sectors
  • Experience in an enterprise-level IT organization is essential
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through on tasks
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to resolution
  • Experience in Service Delivery Management is required
  • Comprehensive understanding of Scorecards, Dashboards, SOWs, SLAs, OLAs, and Performance Management Metrics
Education & Experience:
  • A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory
  • 10-12+ years of experience in IT and/or within a Human Resource function
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to assimilate and analyze new technologies and business processes
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise applications that support business functions
  • Proven ability to interact with personnel at all levels, including senior executives
  • Prior experience in collaborating with the Human Resource function to define and deliver technology solutions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Communication Skills: Must communicate effectively to engage in business discussions and planning sessions
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills are essential for establishing agreements and contracts with the business
  • Relationship Management: Must cultivate a strong, positive relationship with senior business owners, acting as a partner and advisor to maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Influence: Ability to effectively promote and advocate for IT services to business units
  • Strong familiarity with Workday, enterprise LMS applications (preferably Success Factors), and enterprise Workforce Planning capabilities
  • Industry/Business Knowledge: Should be aware of issues and trends affecting the Animal Health industry, as well as specific challenges related to their aligned business unit
  • Tech-Savvy: Must articulate the advantages and disadvantages of a wide range of technologies and services provided
  • Human Resource Management: Should assist in developing business cases for IT solutions
