Financial Business Partner

The Financial Business Partner for the Americas Business Unit Molding Compounds is an essential member of the leadership team, tasked with facilitating significant strategic and operational decisions. This role guarantees financial accuracy and enhanced performance through comprehensive business performance evaluations, recognizing risks and opportunities, and collaborating with the Global Business Unit Controller on critical financial matters. It is instrumental in evaluating and endorsing strategic choices to optimize profitability, while serving as a strategic ally to the Regional VP/GM, leveraging business insight and planning capabilities to promote operational excellence and effective cost management.
KEY FUNCTIONS
- Generate EBITDA quick snapshots and a rolling 12-month forecast.
- Engage with various business functions (Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Production) to acquire insights into operational dynamics.
- Formulate annual budgeting, planning, and forecasting aligned with the BU global strategy to ensure the management team possesses precise information for goal setting, decision-making, and performance monitoring.
- Compile monthly and ad hoc financial analyses/reports (P&L, Fixed Costs, NWC, Capex, etc.) to assess business performance, identify trends, and highlight areas requiring management intervention. Propose actionable recommendations and oversee their implementation.
- Examine Responsibility reports and collaborate with Cost Center Managers to control expenses. Identify and communicate emerging trends or issues.
- Coordinate with external auditors to address audit inquiries. Collaborate with the Accounting and Tax teams on reporting and financial matters.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or an MBA is required.
- 5-7+ years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting, controlling, capital analysis, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
- Proficiency in SAP, preferably the S/4 Hana version, with a minimum of 5 years of general SAP experience.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to execute responsibilities with minimal oversight.
- Advanced skills in Excel (including Query Editor, Power Pivot, and other complex functions), PowerPoint, and the capability to develop financial models.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
