The IT Business Partner is responsible for collaborating with Human Resource executives to enhance the effectiveness of IT capabilities on organizational performance and ensure that IT services align with business goals and requirements. Reporting to the Head of Enabling Functions Business Partner lead, this role is essential in enabling the Human Resource function to utilize technological solutions to fulfill business aims.
This position will engage with various Zoetis Tech & Digital (IT) divisions, including Digital, Data & Analytics, IT Compliance, Infrastructure, Operations, and Project Management Office, alongside business associates and external service providers to strategize, outline, and implement all design and development activities.
- Serve as the primary IT consultant to Human Resource leadership
- Oversee a team of 1 - 3 professionals supporting Human Resource technology solutions
- Promote business process enhancements and automation utilizing new and existing IT capabilities
- Identify prospective new business functionalities to be enabled and executed through technology
- Act as a conduit for communication between IT and business
- Contribute to the formulation of IT business strategies and plans that support the long-term vision of Human Resources
- Engage in the enterprise portfolio and budget planning process by advocating for business priorities and objectives
- Develop, manage, and oversee approved budget expenditures, update forecasts, and ensure accurate tracking of expenses throughout project timelines
- Participate in business leadership meetings to gain insights into potential challenges or opportunities
- Manage Human Resource project portfolios while ensuring consistent communication with the IT Head of Enabling Functions and Human Resource leadership team to align on approaches
- Define business/functional cross-platform solution requirements
- Ensure the delivery of IT solutions and services, addressing any delivery challenges
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and sustain long-term relationships with senior leaders in both IT and business sectors
- Experience in an enterprise-level IT organization is essential
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through on tasks
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and committed to achieving results with a strong sense of ownership and resolution
- Experience in Service Delivery Management is required
- Comprehensive understanding of Scorecards, Dashboards, SOWs, SLAs, OLAs, and Performance Management Metrics
- A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory
- 10-12+ years of experience in IT and/or within a Human Resource function
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to comprehend and analyze new technologies and business processes
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise applications that support business functions
- Proven capability to interact with personnel at all levels, including senior executives
- Prior experience in collaborating with the Human Resource function to define and deliver technology solutions
- Communication Skills: Must effectively communicate to engage in business discussions and planning sessions
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills are necessary for establishing agreements and contracts with the business
- Relationship Management: Must maintain a positive relationship with senior business owners, being seen as a partner and advisor to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Influence: Ability to effectively market and promote IT services to business units
- Strong working knowledge of Workday, enterprise LMS applications (Success Factors preferred), and enterprise Workforce Planning capabilities
- Industry/Business Knowledge: Understanding of issues and trends affecting the Animal Health industry, along with issues specific to their aligned business unit
- Tech-Savvy: Ability to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of a wide range of technologies and services provided
- Human Resource Management: Capability to assist in developing business cases for IT solutions
