Position Overview:

The IT Strategic Partner will collaborate closely with Human Resource executives to enhance the effectiveness of IT capabilities on organizational performance and ensure that IT services align with business requirements and goals. Reporting to the Head of Enabling Functions Business Partner lead, this individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the Human Resource function effectively utilizes technological solutions to meet its objectives.

This role will engage with various Zoetis Tech & Digital (IT) functions, including Digital, Data & Analytics, IT Compliance, Infrastructure, Operations, and Project Management Office, alongside business colleagues and external Providers to strategize, define, and implement all design and development initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary IT advisor to Human Resource leadership
  • Oversee a team of 1 - 3 professionals supporting Human Resource technology solutions
  • Promote business process enhancements and automation utilizing both new and existing IT capabilities
  • Identify and evaluate potential new business capabilities to be enabled and implemented through technology
  • Act as a liaison for communication between IT and business units
  • Contribute to the formulation of IT business strategies and plans that align with the long-term vision of Human Resources
  • Engage in the enterprise portfolio and budget development process by advocating for business priorities and objectives
  • Manage and oversee approved budget expenditures, update forecasts, and ensure accurate tracking of expenses throughout project timelines
  • Participate in business leadership meetings to gain insights into potential challenges or opportunities
  • Develop and manage Human Resource project portfolios while ensuring consistent communication with the IT Head of Enabling Functions and Human Resource leadership to maintain alignment on approaches
  • Establish business/functional cross-platform solution requirements
  • Ensure the delivery of IT solutions and services, addressing any delivery issues that arise
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with senior leaders in both IT and business sectors
  • Experience in an enterprise-level IT organization is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through on tasks
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to resolution
  • Experience in Service Delivery Management is required
  • Comprehensive understanding of Scorecards, Dashboards, SOWs, SLAs, OLAs, and Performance Management Metrics
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree is mandatory
  • 10-12+ years of experience in IT and/or within a Human Resource function
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to comprehend and analyze new technologies and business processes
  • Strong familiarity with enterprise applications that support business functions
  • Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels, including senior executives
  • Prior experience in collaborating with the Human Resource function to define and implement technology solutions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively to engage in business discussions and planning sessions
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills for building agreements and contracts with business units
  • Relationship Management: Ability to maintain positive relationships with senior business owners; should be viewed as a partner and advisor, striving for high customer satisfaction
  • Influence: Capability to effectively market and advocate for IT services to business units
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday, enterprise LMS applications (preferably Success Factors), and enterprise Workforce Planning capabilities
  • Industry/Business Knowledge: Understanding of issues and trends affecting the Animal Health industry, along with specific issues relevant to their aligned business unit
  • Tech-Savvy: Ability to discuss intelligently the advantages and disadvantages of a wide range of technologies and services
  • Human Resource Management: Capability to assist in developing business cases for IT solutions
