Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Guidance: Direct the design and architecture of high-performance applications using the MERN stack, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Facilitate UI-centric discovery sessions to gather comprehensive requirements and pinpoint potential obstacles.
- Establish and uphold best practices for code quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Oversee the integration of front-end and back-end components to ensure efficient data flow.
- Guide the UI development process, advocating for user-centered design principles.
DevOps Strategy & Execution:
- Formulate and execute a holistic DevOps strategy, emphasizing CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
- Enhance cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) for optimal performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Champion the adoption of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead strategic technical discussions with senior stakeholders to synchronize technology and business strategies.
- Own and drive pivotal design decisions, guiding the architectural trajectory of the overall program.
- Mentor engineering teams in best practices for development and operations.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Participate in resource planning and provide technical insights for project adjustments.
- Facilitate code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making processes.
Security & Compliance:
- Guarantee the implementation of security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Work with compliance teams to adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
- Continuously enhance development and operational processes for improved efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with a strong emphasis on the MERN stack.
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and containerization.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services.
- Experience in UI architecture, particularly with large-scale web projects, preferably in the Travel & Hospitality domain.
- Expertise in modern web technologies and design tools (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Figma, Sketch).
- Proficient in designing and managing scalable, distributed systems and microservices.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to make strategic technical decisions.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Background in the travel industry or similar domains with complex user interaction models.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead design solutions in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with serverless architecture and edge computing.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages (Python, Go, etc.).
- Experience with data-driven architecture and analytics platforms.
- Experience with AEM, SFMC platforms.
