Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at RadNet Orange County. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and Register Patients: Welcome patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our facility.
  • Manage Patient Information: Obtain and verify accurate patient information, collect signatures, and ensure completion of necessary documentation.
  • Collect Co-Pays and Fees: Collect and log all co-pays and fees in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Answer and Transfer Calls: Answer and transfer incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Schedule Appointments: Schedule, reschedule, or cancel new or current patients, confirm appointments, and notify staff of changes when necessary.
  • Provide Patient Orientation: Give patients appropriate orientation for preparatory and safety protocols, and provide directions to facilities if needed.
  • Coordinate with Back-Office Staff: Coordinate with back-office staff for timely and effective care of patients.
  • Safeguard Patient Property and Information: Safeguard patient property and patient health information in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills: Strong intermediate to advanced computer skills are necessary for this role.
  • Strong Multitasking and Communication Skills: The ability to multitask and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers is essential.
  • Experience Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Previous experience providing exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Medical Terminology Knowledge: Basic knowledge of medical terminology and recent medical/radiology office experience is preferred.
