Job Summary

The State Water Resources Control Board is seeking an experienced Executive Leader to head its Cleanup Fund Branch. As Assistant Deputy Director, you will oversee the administration of the Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund and associated programs, as well as develop and implement policies to effectively administer those programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the technical aspects of the Division's administration of the Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund and associated programs
  • Develop and implement policies to effectively administer those programs
  • Oversee the functions of technical and administrative staff engaged in administration of the Cleanup Fund Branch
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the Cleanup Fund Branch
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address environmental concerns and develop solutions to mitigate contamination
Requirements
  • Proven track record of excellent performance with challenging and high-profile programs
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing teams and developing policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to perform the assigned duties of the class, including managing budgets and resources
  • Current and valid driver's license (if required for the position)
