Job Description

**Job Summary**

Synectics is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Manager to lead our team of environmental scientists and programmers in delivering data management services to federal government clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  2. Task Assignment and Management: Delegate tasks to team members, oversee project progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  3. Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the quality of work products, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
  4. Project Success: Periodically review active projects to ensure overall quality and timeliness.
  5. Contract Management: Monitor contract hours, project profitability, and invoice review to ensure accurate billing and labor allocation.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field (geology, chemistry, biology, etc.).
  2. Minimum 3 years of project management experience in the environmental industry.
  3. 3-5 years of experience with Department of Defense environmental cleanup programs (preferred but not required).
  4. Experience coordinating contract deliverables, including delivery schedules and overall quality.
  5. Understanding of metrics used to determine error rates and timeliness issues to support quality management and continuous improvement.
  6. Familiarity with the evaluation of monthly labor runs and invoices.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Energetic, personable, self-motivated individual with a desire to advance in a growing organization.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is: $73,012 - $104,280. Multiple factors are considered in determining final pay, including relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and contract provisions.
