Job Summary

This role involves collaborating with various teams to provide guidance, develop manuals, conduct training, and oversee projects related to cultural resource compliance and environmental analysis. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise in pre-contact archaeology, archaeological collections and curation management, and Native American coordination to shape statewide policies and execute initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review technical cultural resource reports to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct scientific studies and environmental planning to align with historic preservation laws.
  • Provide guidance and develop manuals to support district and headquarters staff.
  • Conduct training and oversee projects related to cultural resource compliance and environmental analysis.
Requirements
  • Environmental Scientist exam score.
  • Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions

This role involves a mix of field and office work. While conducting fieldwork, you may encounter diverse weather conditions. In the office, you will work under controlled climate conditions. The position may involve extensive sitting, laptop usage, and occasional travel. Telework options are available, subject to operational needs.
