We are looking for a meticulous and results-oriented professional to provide essential support for our manufacturing operations. Your role will involve analyzing incoming warranty claims data, addressing customer and dealership feedback, categorizing claims accurately, and collaborating with dealerships for parts and repair assessments. You will also engage in customer follow-ups to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their feedback, conduct root cause analyses on returned parts, and formulate both Interim Containment and Permanent Corrective Actions.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will...
  • Assist the assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds, Campaigns, Audits, Root Cause Analysis, and other quality-related initiatives.
  • Oversee engineering commodity modifications for upcoming minor product launches and spearhead cost reduction efforts in existing production vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the Variability Reduction Team (VRT) on specific subsystems and work closely with supplier partners to resolve quality issues.
  • Lead engineering trials and implement changes for subsystems, issue engineering alerts, and pursue authorizations for product modifications to meet quality standards.
  • Engage with technical experts and cross-functional teams to drive resolutions and develop corrective actions aimed at enhancing product quality.
  • Maintain quality documentation at the subsystem or Vehicle Functional Group (VFG) level, including SAQ and Top 20 concerns.
  • Present findings and updates to various levels of management, including weekly VRT reports and Vehicle Quality Reviews.
Qualifications

To be successful, you will need...
  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a manufacturing setting.

  • Six Sigma Training (Black Belt or Green Belt Certification).
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires quick decision-making.
  • Familiarity with CAD systems.
  • Experience in the automotive industry.
