Position Overview:

We are looking for a Junior Research and Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in enhancing our product offerings and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive testing of water heaters at various levels, adhering to engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Set up and modify test units and conditions, executing tests as per defined procedures.
- Collect, analyze, and document data from testing processes.
- Prepare detailed technical reports outlining test conditions, results, and recommendations.
- Investigate product design issues, documenting findings and suggesting improvements.
- Collaborate with the product design team to provide testing data for design approvals.
- Maintain and repair testing equipment, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.
- Utilize computer systems for data acquisition and project management.
- Assist in the creation of service manuals and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software (e.g., PTC-Creo, Solidworks) is advantageous.
- Work effectively in a multicultural environment and participate in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; a Master's Degree is preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents and safety procedures.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Familiarity with hand tools is essential.

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of gas combustion and electrical principles.
- 1-3 years of experience in the gas appliance industry, including internships.
- Understanding of water heating and plumbing practices.
- Experience with certification agencies is a plus.
- Preferred certifications include CSA, UL, or DOE.
