Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a prominent manufacturing and distribution firm. This role is crucial for the development, execution, and upkeep of various projects, while also providing training, procedures, and protocols for electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation to guarantee the plant operates in a safe, efficient, and economical manner.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in roles such as Control Engineer, Automation Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer, or Electrical Engineer.
  • Proficiency in programming PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
  • Knowledge of measurement systems including pH, flow, temperature, pressure, conductivity, and mass, as well as electrical heat tracing, AC and DC control methods, and troubleshooting across various electrical systems.
  • Experience in a Process Safety Management (PSM) or Risk Management Plan (RMP) environment.
  • Experience in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Manufacturing is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of projects, while providing training and establishing procedures for electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation to ensure operational safety and reliability.
  • Manage work priorities, engage resources to establish standards, identify training needs, and recommend criteria for asset selection and installation.
  • Offer technical support to the maintenance supervisor, ensuring the performance of electrical and instrumentation technicians and contractors aligns with safety, environmental compliance, reliability, quality, efficiency, and cost management.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks, guide maintenance staff in testing and repairs, ensure adherence to standards, coordinate inventory management, approve material purchases, and oversee technician training and contractor qualifications.
  • Engage extensively in programming and troubleshooting plant equipment.
