About the Role:
Nalco Water, a subsidiary of Ecolab, is seeking an experienced Automation Systems Engineer with expertise in process control and DCS operations. This role is integral to our manufacturing operations, focusing on enhancing automation and digital capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize all plant DCS/PLC networks, ensuring robust architecture and effective PLC logic programming.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and maintenance teams for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and automated systems.
- Collaborate with Corporate IT to maintain cybersecurity for internal process control networks.
- Identify and implement innovative control instrumentation and equipment solutions.
- Lead automation projects aimed at continuous improvement in manufacturing processes through the design and installation of new systems and enhancement of existing ones.
- Document controls equipment and systems comprehensively.
- Facilitate the integration of process visualization software with current control systems.
- Execute necessary DCS/PLC upgrades and interface with various PLC instrumentation, both new and legacy.
- Develop IoT capabilities across the plant and support SPC initiatives.
- Promote best practices for automation throughout the plant network.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in DCS or industrial process control, including PLC and HMI programming.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5 years of experience in a complex manufacturing setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across various functions.
- Familiarity with legacy control systems migration and management of multifunctional project teams.
- Knowledge of TPM is advantageous.
- Expertise in multiple PLC programming languages and HMI interfaces.
