Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Systems Engineer to join our team at Automatic Building Controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining building automation systems that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement building automation systems that meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Field Management: Manage installation projects and ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Customer Consultation: Consult with customers to provide proposals for retrofits, upgrades, and design enhancements to systems.
  • Technical Recommendations: Provide technical recommendations for sales leads and assist with job layouts and bid proposals.
  • Project Management: Manage assigned work to meet or exceed customer expectations and report problems to management.
  • Customer Interface: Communicate with customers upon arrival and inform them of the nature of service provided before leaving the work site.
  • Training and Documentation: Train and teach customers in control systems operations and provide manuals and documentation as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Preferred), 2-year technical education in a field acceptable.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of computers and computer software packages, including AutoCAD, VISIO, MS Office, Explorer, and HTML. Working knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment and related DDC and building management systems.
  • Experience: 3+ years of field or applications engineering experience in Building Management Systems and HVAC principles. Experience with Niagara Framework, Lonworks, BACnet, and graphical programming languages a plus.
