Position Summary

The Strategic Account Executive will spearhead growth initiatives for key clients by collaborating on innovative projects and supplementary services that align with DerbySoft's strategic objectives. This position necessitates a robust background in hospitality distribution and a comprehensive understanding of technology, including systems and APIs. The Strategic Account Executive will play a vital role in product development and the overall direction of the company to uphold DerbySoft's position as a leader in technology and solutions within the industry. Serving as the primary liaison for key clients, this role will manage business relationships, oversee service level agreements, and ensure client satisfaction with DerbySoft's offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Execution
    • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives to leverage hospitality distribution technology for achieving long-term business goals.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align technological projects with corporate objectives, ensuring DerbySoft remains a frontrunner in the hospitality distribution landscape.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Conduct regular communications with clients.
    • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the client's business and requirements.
    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to ensure sustained growth.
  • Project Oversight
    • Manage project execution, ensuring seamless operations, timely delivery, and coordination with internal teams and external clients.
    • Provide updates on customer and project status to internal teams and clients.
  • Issue Resolution
    • Work collaboratively with solution engineers and other departments to address complex issues and bugs promptly.
  • Revenue Target Achievement
    • Design and implement strategies to meet revenue objectives.
    • Coordinate internal priorities and project timelines with engineers, client managers, and other teams.
  • Reporting and Client Reviews
    • Prepare documentation for quarterly business assessments.
    • Analyze and communicate error reports to clients.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree, though not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the travel sector required.
  • Proficient knowledge of travel distribution technology – OTA/HTNG, connectivity solutions, and content services.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Demonstrated confidence in working with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems.
