TEKsystems is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Financial Recovery Advisor.

This position requires onsite work on a weekly basis.

Local candidates are preferred.

Role Overview: This position involves working in a call center environment with an auto-dialer system, focusing on both outbound and inbound communications. The role primarily deals with early-stage collections, addressing accounts that are 1-30 days overdue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver financial counseling to members and work towards minimizing losses for the credit union.
  • Engage with members who are behind on payments to explore various repayment options and loss mitigation strategies.
  • Collect and analyze detailed financial information from members to identify the best solutions for resolving delinquency.
  • Document arrangements, reasons for delinquency, and any proposed charge-off alternatives in the collection systems.
  • Provide both short-term and long-term solutions, including repayment plans, promises-to-pay, loan modifications, and personal finance management options.
  • Communicate options for relinquishing debts, such as settlements.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of federal and state consumer protection regulations.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in customer service, collections, or financial environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple systems and handle a high volume of incoming calls.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, patience, and empathy.

Compensation: $17.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday

  • Monday-Friday: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Mandatory attendance on Saturdays)

Note: A rotating day off will be provided during the week due to Saturday work. Availability for holiday shifts is required.

Training Program: The training consists of 4 weeks, with 2 days per week onsite during the initial phase. The first three days focus on phone etiquette and empathy training, followed by hybrid technical training. An additional 4 weeks of nesting will be conducted onsite to enhance skills.
