Collections Counselor

TEKsystems is seeking motivated individuals for a Collections Counselor position with a leading Financial Institution.

Position Overview:

• Engage in a call center environment, utilizing an auto-dialer for outbound communications while also managing incoming calls.
• Focus on early-stage collections for accounts that are 1-30 days overdue, achieving daily call targets.
• Responsible for managing and recovering past due Consumer Loan and Credit Card accounts during initial delinquency phases.
• Provide financial guidance to members to help mitigate potential losses.

Work Location:

Hybrid schedule with a combination of in-office and remote work.

Work Schedule:

Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with hours from Monday to Friday and Saturday shifts included.

Availability to work on Saturdays is essential, with a compensatory day off during the week.

Required Skills:

Experience in collections, sales targets, retail sales, administrative support, banking, call center operations, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reach out to and advise delinquent members to resolve their accounts using various payment options and loss mitigation strategies.
• Manage delinquency on Consumer and Credit Card loan accounts effectively.
• Ensure all necessary notifications, including collection communications, are dispatched to members in compliance with regulations.
• Clearly explain options available to members, including settlements and bankruptcy alternatives.
• Gather comprehensive financial information from members in delinquency and propose viable solutions to avoid bankruptcy or charge-off.
• Conduct manager share transfers within authorized limits as required.
• Provide necessary reporting to supervisors regarding daily activities and payment tracking.
• Utilize online tools and coordinate with relevant parties as needed.
• Regularly review member account data to maintain accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines.
