TEKsystems is seeking qualified individuals for the role of Financial Recovery Advisor.
This position requires onsite work and is not available for remote arrangements.
Local candidates are preferred.
Position Overview: This role operates within a call center environment, utilizing an auto-dialer for outbound communications while also managing incoming calls. The focus is on early-stage collections, specifically addressing accounts that are 1-30 days overdue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver financial guidance to members and work to minimize losses for the credit union.
- Engage with members who are behind on payments to explore all available options for resolving their delinquency.
- Gather and analyze comprehensive financial data from members to identify the best strategies for resolution.
- Document members' agreements, reasons for delinquency, and any proposed alternatives in the collections system.
- Propose both short-term and long-term solutions, including repayment plans, loan modifications, and personal finance management options.
- Clearly explain potential relinquishment options, such as settlements.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of federal and state consumer protection regulations.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in customer service, collections, or financial services.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple systems and handle a high volume of incoming calls.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, along with patience and empathy.
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Saturday
- Monday-Friday: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Attendance on all Saturdays is mandatory)
Note: A rotating day off will be scheduled during the week due to Saturday work obligations.
Training: The training program spans 4 weeks, with a hybrid model requiring onsite attendance for 2 days each week. Initial training includes technical skills, phone etiquette, and empathy training, with the first three days conducted onsite. Following this, the technical training will continue in a hybrid format. Up to 4 weeks of nesting will follow, also onsite, to further develop skills.
