Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian II to join our team at the Texas Dept of Health and Human Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help maintain a clean and organized workspace, including floors, walls, and furniture
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and bathing areas, ensuring a high level of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Vacuum and use mechanical extractors to clean floors, as required
  • Apply finishes to floors in accordance with established procedures and safety measures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
