Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist V to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repair work on our buildings and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, utility systems, and equipment
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues with building systems and equipment
  • Perform renovations and repairs to modernize buildings and adapt them to new uses
  • Design and implement projects to conform to applicable codes and standards
  • Supervise and train staff on maintenance and repair procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, projects, and material requisitions
Requirements
  • Knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and repair
  • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and sketches
  • Ability to supervise and train staff
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management
