Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front desk operations and patient care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Verify patient information and update records as needed.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, including those for imaging services.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information on services offered by the medical center.
  • Coordinate with medical and imaging staff to ensure timely patient flow.
  • Process insurance verifications and handle billing-related inquiries.
  • Manage and organize patient files, ensuring compliance with medical record-keeping regulations.
  • Assist in preparing imaging paperwork and ensuring proper documentation before procedures.
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate departments.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist role is required.
  • Experience in imaging or radiology departments is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, especially related to imaging services.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a clinical setting, requiring regular interaction with patients, medical professionals, and administrative staff.

Additional Requirements:

  • Compliance with all medical center policies and procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Fluency in conversational English and Spanish.

Work Schedule:

A: Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm, occasional Saturdays required.

B: Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm, occasional Saturdays required.
