About the Role

MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of our fixed route bus fleet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all contractual requirements are met, and duties include daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Oversee a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and direction to ensure the efficient operation of the maintenance department.
  • Maintenance Program Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program that meets or exceeds industry standards, ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet.
  • Budget Management: Manage a budget for the maintenance program, ensuring that expenses are aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit regular reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance, including diesel, CNG, and alternative fuels.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of journey-level mechanic experience and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in maintenance supervision of five (5) or more mechanics.
  • Certifications: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified for Transit Bus (H series) and Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicles (L3).
  • Licenses: Valid Class B or greater Washington State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Medical Card.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and interface with clients, track and control parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers, and prioritize, implement, and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments.
What We Offer

MV Transportation is committed to providing a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $135,000 - $174,000, depending on experience.
