FLEET MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for executing preventive maintenance and repairs on vehicles within the fleet.

This role requires a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in automotive or truck mechanics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs in accordance with established protocols.
Respond to vehicle malfunctions in the field as needed.
Provide assistance to fellow mechanics when required.
Operate company vehicles following safety guidelines and company policies.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
Utilize maintenance databases to record all completed tasks and job assignments.
Participate in all mandatory training sessions related to fleet operations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman or Lead Mechanic.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Uphold information systems security responsibilities.

Accountability Standards:
Vehicles are repaired and maintained efficiently and effectively.
Quickly diagnose and resolve vehicle issues during roadside assistance.
Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
Account for all parts and materials precisely.
Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
Foster positive working relationships with all team members and maintain professionalism with external contacts.

REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a valid driver's license.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Line Mechanic or Mechanic Helper/Associate.
Hold 2 ASE Certifications (Truck or Automotive series), preferably in Brake and Steering/Suspension.
MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification is preferred.
Must have received 2 consecutive satisfactory performance evaluations.

Skills and Experience:
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality in sensitive matters.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions from various documents and repair manuals.
Ability to fulfill essential job functions.
Consistent and reliable attendance.
Basic automotive knowledge and skills necessary for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Must possess a complete set of personal tools.
