Position Overview:
The Mobile Fleet Maintenance Technician II is a vital role within our organization, responsible for conducting certified inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and executing light repairs. This position requires a blend of technical skills and customer service acumen, as you will also provide emergency roadside assistance when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on various truck systems, including electrical, brake, cooling, and power steering.
- Participate in ongoing safety training to uphold our commitment to a safe working environment.
- Document work performed and findings accurately using company standards and technology.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to coordinate repairs and obtain necessary approvals.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Manage parts inventory and equipment on your service vehicle efficiently.
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions using appropriate testing instruments.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to meet company driving standards.
- A valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain one promptly.
- A personal set of hand tools required for the job.
- A minimum of three years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair or equivalent technical education.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
