Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough inspections of vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts to maintain operational safety and aesthetic standards.
- Performing repairs on critical vehicle components such as transmissions, brakes, and engines.
- Addressing immediate fleet maintenance concerns and maintaining accurate records of fleet operations.
- Tracking daily vehicle performance reports, labor hours, and maintenance records to ensure compliance and safety.
- Responding to emergency breakdowns and coordinating repairs or towing as necessary.
- Collaborating with the IT Team to manage onboard shuttle technology, ensuring functionality and proper installation.
- Preparing detailed work plans after assessing issues comprehensively.
- Test driving repaired vehicles to evaluate performance and safety.
- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting results to provide effective solutions.
- Maintaining an organized inventory of parts and serviced vehicles.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices in a commercial environment.
- Familiarity with vehicle management and the mechanical workings of both gasoline and diesel engines.
- Understanding of vehicle electronics and aftermarket equipment utilized in passenger transport.
- Proficiency in maintenance tracking systems and relevant software applications.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships across all organizational levels.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and operational needs.
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions.
- HD ASE certification.
- Experience with HD Electrical Systems, brakes, and suspensions.
- Proficient in software diagnostics.
- HVAC certification.
- Power Train Certification.
- A minimum of three years of maintenance experience with diverse vehicle types.
- Valid Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Current driver's license or ability to obtain one.
- Active US DOT Medical Card or ability to acquire one.
- Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with a P Endorsement preferred.
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet operational demands.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Competitive pay rate based on experience.
