Overview

The role involves overseeing the auditing of the bank's Commercial Credit Risk operations. As a key authority on Credit Risk, you will manage audit projects and maintain effective communication with both Business and Audit leadership. You will proactively implement audit strategies by establishing audit scopes, programs, and testing procedures that align with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive testing across various audit activities.
  • Utilize strong analytical capabilities and possess in-depth knowledge of products, business operations, and technical aspects to fulfill assigned audit responsibilities.
  • Independently carry out audit testing for designated audits while demonstrating effective project management skills.
  • Identify and escalate issues, providing recommendations for severity ratings.
  • Evaluate issues for their impact on business processes and controls, advising on severity ratings and broader themes.
  • Collaborate with the audit team to draft high-quality audit reports and share findings with business leaders.
  • Develop relationships with business partners, primarily engaging with line management.
  • Apply critical thinking to influence management positively, enhancing the control environment.
  • Support team members and contribute to their development through on-the-job training during audit execution.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Credit, Risk, or Auditing.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a similar capacity.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence management to drive strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and teach others, exhibiting a positive attitude and flexibility.
  • Proficient analytical skills, capable of transforming large data sets into actionable insights.
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks and adapting quickly to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to engage with management at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Commercial Credit Life Cycle and related processes.
  • Advanced degree.
  • Strong preference for experience in Enterprise Risk or Credit Risk.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Preference for candidates with prior Audit experience.
