BUSINESS UNIT INSIGHT:

The Credit Review division enhances the firm's independent risk management framework by conducting thorough evaluations and ongoing assessments of the loan and derivative portfolio's quality. This unit also verifies and tests the methodologies and ratings associated with Credit Risks, reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) while maintaining independence from Credit Risks processes.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to deliver timely and effective evaluations of retail credit portfolios, which encompass residential mortgages, consumer loans, credit cards, student loans, and revolving credit. The successful candidate will lead a team in executing independent risk assessments of retail credit exposure management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement a risk-based annual Retail Credit Review strategy and ongoing monitoring initiatives.
  • Evaluate credit risk levels and the effectiveness of credit risk management practices.
  • Identify potential credit risks, assess their implications, and propose process enhancements related to Credit Risk activities.
  • Conduct credit reviews, prepare comprehensive reports, and facilitate discussions with Credit Risk stakeholders.
  • Utilize various analytical tools and techniques, including sampling and transactional testing, to assess compliance with credit policies and identify risk trends.
  • Perform portfolio monitoring and segment analysis using data analysis tools such as SQL and Tableau.
  • Ensure timely completion of reviews and monitoring in alignment with Credit Review policies.
  • Generate quantitative analyses and qualitative insights for Credit Risk, Firm, and Bank management.
  • Develop a continuous monitoring framework for all retail/consumer segments, incorporating key performance indicators to identify emerging risks.
  • Assess Credit Risk Policies to ensure adequate controls are in place for effective risk management and adherence to approved policies.
  • Engage in ad-hoc and special projects as necessary.
