Job Overview

UNIT COMPANY is actively seeking skilled professionals in construction management for a rewarding role. We are in search of a Construction Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality assurance initiatives for our projects, ensuring superior construction standards are met. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Comprehend contract documents, specifications, and requirements thoroughly.
  • Conduct inspections of work features in alignment with contract stipulations and quality assurance protocols.
  • Accurately document and report on construction project activities.
  • Coordinate and evaluate shop drawings, submittals, and certifications.
  • Verify materials against contract specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to safety programs and regulations.
  • Address any non-compliance issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Document impacts of weather on project timelines.
  • Record deficiencies, actions taken, and ensure alignment with contract requirements.
  • Document periods of inactivity, delays, and their causes.
  • Monitor safety violations and communicate findings to the Health and Safety Manager.
  • Conduct necessary testing of construction materials.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure safety and compliance with specifications.
  • Ensure that construction materials meet the established contract standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess a degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience.

Alternatively, candidates with 7 years of experience in construction quality assurance and ICC certification as a Commercial Building Inspector will also be considered.

Additional Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 and USACE QCS/RMS is advantageous.
  • A valid state driver's license or passport is required for base access.
  • Candidates must be able to pass background and security checks.
  • Compensation will be determined based on project location and work hours.
