Role Summary:
The Field Construction Manager will oversee the construction of civil and vertical structures in challenging environments. This role involves supervising work crews and subcontractors, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage work crews and subcontractors throughout all phases of construction projects.
  • Interpret and analyze project plans and specifications, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures, particularly regarding employment opportunities for shareholders.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to OSHA regulations and conducting quality control assessments.
  • Collaborate with project management to budget, forecast, and oversee labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Maintain an organized project schedule and prepare for upcoming tasks.
  • Coordinate logistics for material handling, including unloading and staging.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in managing construction teams and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and project schedules.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and accident-free work environment.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification and competent person status are required.
  • Experience in quality control and independent work without direct supervision.
  • Familiarity with basic construction equipment operation.
  • Demonstrated reliability and responsibility in previous roles.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, including lifting and climbing.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise and temperature extremes.
  • Wear protective gear as necessary and maintain awareness of surroundings.

Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 15 years in the construction field, with at least 7-10 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience with remote construction projects is preferred.
