Position Overview

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Area Manager to become a vital part of our leadership team at Alaska Dialysis. This essential role is responsible for ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while providing strategic guidance to meet company objectives and enhance clinical priorities aimed at improving patient outcomes and maintaining superior quality standards across our facilities.

Quality Responsibilities

The Area Manager will:

  • Lead the development and execution of both short- and long-term quality goals, effectively communicating the company’s mission and core values.
  • Drive exceptional quality performance by formulating and implementing strategies that align with quality outcome objectives.
  • Utilize advanced dashboards to monitor key quality trends and analyze complex quality issues with a comprehensive understanding of organizational goals.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in clinical quality, collaborating with team members to identify and capitalize on quality improvement opportunities.
Regulatory Responsibilities

In this role, you will also:

  • Identify and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations through thorough facility audits.
  • Provide expert guidance and education to re-establish regulatory compliance and enhance operational outcomes.
  • Work closely with facility management to pinpoint risk areas, drive improvements, and assist in root cause analysis as necessary.
  • Monitor and analyze audit results, ensuring comprehensive root cause analyses and suggesting process modifications as needed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A BSN or a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certification in Nephrology Nursing or quality management is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in dialysis and at least 3 years in a clinical leadership role.
  • Experience in quality assurance, risk management, case management, or infection control.
  • Strong collaborative skills to engage with team members and support quality improvement initiatives.
  • A solid understanding of the interactions between healthcare providers and regulatory bodies.
  • High proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems.

Day-to-day responsibilities will involve desk work, computer usage, and collaboration with facility staff and physicians. The work environment is typical of a healthcare facility, featuring controlled air temperature and moderate noise levels, with potential exposure to infectious materials.
