Join Our Team as a Project Engineer

The Anderson Dam and Tunnel project is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing cost data to effectively monitor project budgets and estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize resource monitoring and control principles to ensure project efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to set clear expectations and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Manage multiple engineering assignments, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee contract specifications and quality assurance practices to maintain high standards.
  • Identify budgetary concerns and propose solutions to mitigate potential delays.
  • Engage with engineering and field crews to confirm availability of materials and resources.
  • Review shop drawings and design specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical input for project planning and scheduling, identifying risks that may impact budget or timeline.
  • Evaluate daily production metrics and document activities using approved methods.
  • Update project schedules regularly and present progress in meetings as required.
  • Prepare and manage a three-week work plan, addressing significant schedule changes proactively.
  • Initiate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate project quantity reporting and manage invoicing with the accounting team.
  • Support the engineering team with quality assurance and compliance reviews.
  • Participate in safety meetings and ensure adherence to Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs).
  • Assist in the development of design drawings and provide necessary technical input.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities and reconcile job closeout processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction engineering.
  • Familiarity with resource monitoring techniques and construction technology.
  • Strong understanding of design-build methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
