Position Overview:

The Anderson Dam and Tunnel initiative in Northern California is seeking a skilled Project Engineer. In this role, you will engage in activities related to the collection of financial data necessary for overseeing project budgets and forecasts. This position necessitates the application of resource monitoring and control methodologies, alongside technical expertise in construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering and field teams to assess production timelines and ensure all materials, equipment, and resources are available for seamless project execution.
  • Review shop drawings, design specifications, and material requirements throughout the project lifecycle to guarantee compliance with quality and contract standards.
  • Provide technical insights for project work plans and schedules, identifying potential risks that could affect budget or timelines.
  • Monitor daily production metrics, schedules, and budget forecasts to accurately evaluate project performance.
  • Update project schedules weekly for management reporting and participate in owner meetings to present project status as required.
  • Prepare and oversee a three-week work plan, alerting project management of significant schedule changes and proposing solutions to address delays and costs.
  • Manage all Requests for Information (RFIs) as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate project quantities are reported using assigned cost coding, and coordinate invoicing with the accounting team for materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Support the engineering team with quality assurance and review necessary permits and certificates for project execution.
  • Participate in safety meetings and conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist in the development of design drawings and provide technical input as needed.
  • Coordinate subcontractor schedules and work methods effectively.
  • Conduct project close-out reconciliations with owner representatives and field teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction engineering is essential.
  • Familiarity with resource monitoring techniques, construction technology, and quality assurance practices is preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are necessary.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated or willing to become fully vaccinated for COVID-19, or have an approved medical or religious accommodation.
