Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer Assembly Operations Specialist to join our team at Flatiron Construction Corp. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineering and field crews to review production schedules and confirm the availability of materials, equipment, and resources.
  • Review shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements, and project data to ensure quality and contract specification compliance.
  • Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling, identifying potential risks that could impact the budget or schedule.
  • Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to accurately track project performance.
  • Document daily activities using approved methods and technologies.
  • Update project schedules weekly for owner and management reporting.
  • Notify engineering and project management of significant schedule changes and develop solutions to mitigate delays and costs.
  • Initiate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed.
  • Remit accurate project quantities using assigned project cost coding to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage invoicing with the accounting team regarding materials, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
  • Support the engineering team with quality assurance, reviewing Job Hazard Analyses to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Participate in weekly safety meetings with the field team and project leadership.
  • Assist the estimating team with project schedule, budget, and cost parameters by providing technical input.
  • Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews as needed.
  • Reconcile job close-out checklists with owner representatives and field crews at the end of the project.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • ~5+ years of construction engineering experience.
  • Experience in resource monitoring techniques, construction technology, process systems, and/or structures.
  • Able to delegate and assign work to engineering teams to progress project production forward.
  • Able to manage multiple engineering tasks and progress them towards a common goal.
  • Advanced knowledge of contract specifications and quality assurance practices.
  • Able to identify budget and project costs and recommend options to mitigate project delays.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting methods, quantity tracking methods, and cost coding.
  • Fully vaccinated or willing to become fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved medical or religious accommodation.
