Position Title: EVS Housekeeper

Job Overview:
Our organization is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Housekeeper within the Environmental Services department. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with weekend availability required as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including patient rooms, restrooms, administrative offices, and other facility spaces.
- Ensure housekeeping supplies are adequately stocked in accordance with established standards.
- Perform floor maintenance tasks such as cleaning, buffing, scrubbing, and waxing.
- Execute proper terminal cleaning procedures daily, adhering to hospital policies.
- Demonstrate effective decontamination of clinical spaces, equipment, and reusable supplies.
- Assist in upholding a safe and orderly environment, complying with safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintain appropriate attire and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) in restricted areas.
- Follow standard precautions in handling biohazardous materials.
- Keep janitorial closets organized and clean to prevent hazards.
- Post safety signage to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.
- Report chemical spills immediately and understand protocols for exposure.
- Ensure chemicals are used and stored safely, reporting any hazardous conditions.
- Identify potential risks to patients and take necessary actions to mitigate them.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, including guidelines for conduct, compliance, and confidentiality.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to bend, sit, squat, crawl, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. The role requires standing for extended periods and exerting force when pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in Environmental Services or housekeeping within a healthcare setting is necessary.
COVID-19 Compliance: Staff vaccinations, face masks, social distancing, and adherence to visitor restrictions are mandatory.
