Commercial Fire Systems Sales Specialist

Position Overview
The main responsibility of this role is to advocate for and sell service contracts related to commercial building safety systems, which encompass fire alarms, suppression systems, sprinklers, security measures, sound systems, communication technologies, and inspection services. Assess client requirements and devise sales tactics to fulfill those needs. Achieve sales targets as outlined in the sales plan. Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients. Create and uphold a dynamic proposal pipeline that aligns with the sales strategy. Conduct assessments of buildings to aid in the formulation of cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate contact with potential clients and evaluate their interest in service agreements through scheduled sales meetings, follow-ups on leads, and strategic marketing initiatives.
- Identify client needs and craft a sales approach that enhances their understanding of the company’s service portfolio.
- Achieve sales targets as specified in the sales plan.
- Maintain a robust proposal pipeline that supports the execution of the established sales strategy.
- Conduct building evaluations to assist in the preparation of estimates.
- Keep accurate and comprehensive records of all sales activities.
- Timely submission of all required sales documentation, including reports, expenses, competitive insights, and correspondence.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with clients to ensure Johnson Controls meets their expectations, fostering long-term loyalty.
- Collaborate with the service department to generate leads for service enhancements or equipment upgrades.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications
Required:
- 1 to 3 years of sales experience in a relevant field with a proven track record of success.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to persuade and finalize sales.
- Capability to navigate various situations encountered during the sales process.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong communication skills, adept at persuading and closing sales while managing diverse situations encountered in the sales process.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
